The Chicago White Sox are one of the eight charter teams of Major League Baseball and were established in 1900. Prior to 1901, the Chicago White Sox were also known as the White Stockings, the Saint Paul Saints (1895-1899), and the Sioux City Cornhuskers (1888-1894).
