The Cincinnati Reds were founded in 1882 as the Red Stockings. They played as the Reds between 1890 and 1953 as well as 1959 to present with a short stint as the Redlegs in between.

The team has five World Series titles (1919, 1940, 1975, 1976, and 1990) but have had a sparse playoff history since 1990.
