Tyson Beck is an Austrailian artist whose work for the Topps Project 2020 series of cards blends elements from the source inspiration with his signature style to create bright and exciting takes on iconic baseball cards.
Beck's first release was his Dwight Gooden card (#12) which was the lowest selling card in the series to date. His print run more than tripled with the release of his second card, Ken Griffey Jr.(#25) and became the first card to print more than 3,000 copies.
Beck's next two cards -- Cal Ripken Jr.(#37) and George Brett (#55) -- trended downwards in sales but his Bob Gibson card (#70) was the 12th card to sell more than 6,000 units and ranked in the top 10 at its time of release. By the time of Beck's Gibson release, Project 2020 print runs were skewing consistently higher and the entire collection had gained considerable popularity.
