Who Will be Victorious at Clash of Champions?

Updated:

The cousin vs. cousin title match, a triple-threat ladder match and Drew McIntyre defending his potential legacy against Randy Orton, WWE’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view has a lot to get excited about.

Roman Reigns will defeat Jey Uso

This is a given, of course due to Roman’s recent return and the all-of-a-sudden storyline that was seemingly taken from “Black Panther.” WWE threw Jey into the title mix after Big E was attacked by Sheamus and forced to miss a fatal four-way and Uso got the victory to earn his title shot. Still, even with the family storyline likely getting canned and never spoken of after Sunday, it’s a match I’m excited for.

Jey has always put on a show in tag team matches with his brother Jimmy and should be able to help Roman along in his first title defense.

AJ Styles will defeat Jeff Hardy and Sami Zayn

Styles talked about not signing another contract with WWE, but for now, he’s still one of the best workers in the business. Zayn’s return has been some greatly appreciated change to what had become a stale product at times and this could potentially be the match of the night.

While I didn’t exactly understand having a triple-threat match just two days before the ladder match, if what they showed on Friday is just the preview, the main course should be… dare I say, Phenomenal.

Drew McIntyre will defeat Randy Orton

This feud has been one of the better stories in WWE over the past couple months and Orton’s need for another title shot has been fun to watch. McIntyre needs this victory to sort of cement his title legacy and to prove he’s deserving after a couple boring title matches have come under his reign. The sneak attacks and surprises have been aplenty and while Orton is sure to get dirty in the match, McIntyre should get the win.

While I am excited about those matches, there are others that I felt were just randomly put together and don’t really make any sense or have a rhyme or reason.

Still, here are the rest of my predictions:

  • Asuka will defeat Zelina Vega
  • Bayley will defeat Nikki Cross
  • Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler will defeat The Riott Squad
  • Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura will defeat Lucha House Party
  • The Street Profits will defeat Andrade and Angel Garza
  • Bobby Lashley will defeat Apollo Crews
